Student Led Conferences!

Dearest Families!

We are so excited to welcome you  this upcoming Friday, May 6th for Infant School Student-Led Conferences (SLC).

The idea behind student-led conferences is for your child to share about their learning adventures during the day first hand! You will go on a trip around their classroom and the discovery areas for K2, as well as participate in some fun learning adventures. Most of all, you will be able to get a feel of how your child spends their day and what their passions and wonderings are!

Student-led conferences are 45 minutes in length. You are scheduled with 3 other families so please make sure to arrive and leave on time, that way all families can have the full experience (and we get a chance to sanitize between visits).  Also be prepared, to get a little messy and have some time on the floor!

The time is not scheduled formally, we do have some learning engagements set up, but the best thing is to just follow your child's interests and let them lead you.  Please do not feel pressure to visit and engage with every activity. You and your child may get caught up in something special --enjoy that!  The focus should be on quality time and having a special experience together. That being said, we ask that younger siblings be left at home and that this is a device free experience. Please put your phones away for the duration of your child's conference and and enjoy the adventure!  You will have an opportunity for pictures (we have a special treat in store for you) but during the SLC time teachers will take pictures and share them with you. Also, students do not need to wear their school uniforms.

One more happening on Friday you may like to participate in is a used children's book sale set up outside of the K1 pod.  All books will cost $2.00 and the proceeds will go to the Grade 4 Global Concern, Bali Bridges.

As always thank you for your support and partnership!

The K2 team
