Child Safeguarding: My Trust Network

Dear Families,

Prior to the Chinese New Year Break, we posted a letter on our weekly blog outlining our Child Safeguarding Unit on "Trust Networks". We asked you to begin conversations with your child about what the word "trust" means, and what adults they have in their life that they trust and can go to for help when they need it.

This week, in class, we also discussed the word “trust” and identified some of our trusted adults at school. Each class will be working together to create their own “trusted adults at school” poster that will be displayed in their classroom.

Today, your child will bring home a copy of this paper:

Please help your child to identify trusted adults in their life (school, home, community) that they can go to when they need help. Please be sure to include people in your child's list that are both family members and non-family members. These should also be adults that they have regular contact with and could approach easily, if needed.

Please return this paper to school by Friday, February 25.

Thank you for your continuing support,

The K2 Team
