A blessed 2022 to you and yours! How exciting is it that just around the corner we will also be welcoming the Year of the Tiger. Your child is excitedly preparing for it with their Chinese Teachers, and we are excitedly preparing for our next Unit of Study (UoS)!
Story Telling, our next UoS is an inquiry into the ways in which people create and share stories to communicate feelings. We wonder about the stories your child holds. Where are they from? Where have they been? Who do they love? What makes them laugh? What makes them cry? What do they dream about? What do they believe in? Who are they becoming? What makes them feel safe? Where do they feel connected and cared for? In short your child comes to us full of experiences, feelings and stories. Storytelling is a wonderful way for them to share that, as well as visit traditional and favorite stories.
As we highlighted in our weekly announcement, we are also interested in stories from your countries, cultures and childhood. Please help us by sharing those!
We have submitted an application to hold the K2 Arts Festival on March 24 and 25th. At this time, we are still waiting to hear back regarding confirmation that it will be face to face. More details and information will be coming your way as soon as we have it. With this in mind, we ask you to please "Save the Date" on your calendar for your child's performance. The dates and times are as follows:
