Curriculum Letter

 Dearest Families,

Life in K2 is in full swing and the educators surrounding your children are just as excited as the students!

‘Our Community' Curriculum Letter

We have been busy getting to know you children, encouraging their voice and place in the classroom community (both figuratively and literally), encouraging growth, establishing routines and procedures and creating rich learning opportunities. It has been an amazing two weeks!  At the beginning of each new Unit of Study throughout the year, I will share with you a curriculum letter that outlines the upcoming unit and highlights its connections with English and Math. In this letter, you will find some ideas about how you can support your child's learning at home. Here is our first unit letter Our Community:

K2 Teaching Assistants and Learner Support

Last week I introduced to you our classroom teachers as your first point of call.  I'd like to now introduce our wonderful K2 teaching assistants and Learning Support teacher. who will be working with your children every day. These members of staff are invaluable to the success of our program.

From left to right: Resham Chainani (Learning Support), Amutha Rangasamy, Ching Yann Yap, Hong Eng Lim and Sharon Ho

Class Parent Reps

Each year, parent reps are appointed in each class. Parent reps have an important role which is to support connections between parents and teachers as well as parents and the Parent Association.

If you are interested,  inform your classroom teacher and we'll get you connected with Josi, our Parent Association Infant School Coordinator.  Thank you for your consideration.

As always thank you for you support!

In partnership,

Evelyn Hurtado

Head of K2
